Supplier Credit Notes

The Supplier Credit Notes guide helps you record and manage credits issued by suppliers. Credit notes are used to adjust invoices for returns, discounts, or billing corrections.

Creating a New Credit Note

  1. Navigate to Procurement → Credit Notes.
  2. Click Create New Credit Note.
  3. Fill in the following fields:
  • Credit Note Reference *
    Reference is auto-generated. Click the lock to edit manually.

  • Supplier *
    Search and select the supplier issuing the credit note.

  • Credit Note Date *
    Select the date of the credit note (default is today).

  • Location *
    Choose the location relevant to the credit.

  • Ledger *
    Select the ledger associated with this supplier.

  • Currency *
    Pick the currency used on the credit note.

  • Remarks
    Optional notes describing the reason for the credit.

  1. Click Save.

After saving, you will be navigated to the credit note detail page where you can:

  • Add products or services to be credited.
  • Edit credit note details if needed.
  • Link to invoices, approve, or cancel the credit note.

Tips

  • Always verify the supplier and related invoice before saving.
  • Use remarks to clearly explain the reason for the credit.
  • Ensure currency and ledger information are accurate for accounting.
