Ledger Settings
The default debit and credit ledger accounts used when each sales document type is posted — invoices, quotations, orders, delivery notes, credit notes, return notes and payments received.
Ledger Settings maps each sales document type to the debit and credit ledger accounts used when it is posted. The receivable and revenue accounts chosen here are what the Ledger field of every document and payment form proposes by default.

1
Pick the accounts
For each document type, choose the debit and credit accounts from your chart of accounts (for example 1030 — Accounts Receivable and 4010 — Sales Revenue for invoices).
2
Save
Save applies the mapping to new documents; existing documents keep the ledger they were created with. Reset to Defaults restores the standard mapping.
How posting works
| Event | Debit | Credit |
|---|---|---|
| Invoice Approved | Receivable account of the invoice type | Sales revenue account |
| Payment Completed | Treasury / cash account of the payment | Receivable account |
| Credit note applied or refunded | Revenue (reversal) | Receivable, wallet or treasury |
- Quotations, orders and delivery notes do not create accounting entries by themselves; their mapping is used when they are transferred or when payments are recorded on them.
- The Ledger shown in the create drawers (1030 — Accounts Receivable) comes from this page; the Manage ledgers button in payment forms opens the same accounts.
- Ledger movements can be inspected on each payment in Payment Management.
