Units

Learn how to create and manage measurement units and currencies in RedERP.

Overview

The Units section allows you to define measurement units (e.g., kg, m, L) and currencies (e.g., USD, EUR, TND). Units help standardize product data and ensure consistent reporting across modules.

How to Create a Unit

  1. Go to Data Management → Units

  2. Click Create New Unit

  3. Fill in the unit details:

    Basic Information

    • Unit Name (required) — Enter the unit name (e.g., Kilogram, Meter).
    • Unit Type — Select the type (e.g., Weight, Length, Currency).
    • Unit Symbol — Enter the symbol for the unit (e.g., kg, m, L).
    • Currency Code — If the unit is a currency, enter the ISO code (e.g., USD, EUR, TND).
    • Description — Add notes or details about the unit (optional).
  4. Click Create Unit to save.

Actions

  • Edit: Modify unit name, type, or symbol.
  • Delete: Remove unused or obsolete units.
  • Assign: Link units to products for standardized data entry.
